We provide all Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN). When buying a car, it's always important to look up a vehicle identification number or VIN. Car history reports give us a picture as to what accidents, if any, the car you're buying has been in. Some good sites exist in both Canada and the US to do these searches, such as
Car Fax and
Car Proof. In some cases, manufacturers will provide us with a VIN report that we will gladly share with you.
If the car has been in an accident the seller must disclose this prior to sale. In the event we discover an undisclosed accident through the structural inspection, you reserve the right to cancel the purchase.
What about the car’s title insurance?
We include all car title insurance at no cost to you. If a car, truck or SUV’s title is “clean” you can be sure that there are no liens and that it has not been stolen. We do an extensive car title search and any car title fees are included in our auto broker fee. When buying a car, especially from a used car dealer or even an auto broker, make sure the car title insurance is included and that there’s no car title fees to pay on the invoice. The last thing you want it to find out is that you’ve bought a stolen car or one that has a huge debt attached to it.
